Hi! First, I would like to say hello to my teacher. So, hello teacher! Second, this expression is very important. It has a very important meaning too. So, let me explain what it means: Lets imagine that we buy 12 eggs. If we put them all in the same basket, the risk of they all get broken is bigger. That doesn`t happen if you put the eggs in more baskets. Let me explain with another example: Imagine that you put all your money in one bank only. If the bank closes or something, you lose all your money. But if you spread your money in more banks, the chances of loosing all your money are smaller!! I think this is enough. Goodbye to all, and goodbye to you too, teacher! Rita 5ºA.
if you put all the eggs in one basket you put all efforts or resources into one person and if the thing dont work out you lose all the eggs or everything.
Hi! I am Catarina from 5ºA. In one hand my understanding of this expression is that we should never judge a person just because of her nationality, religion or for a specific characteristic that identified that person to belong to a certain group, city, etc. Just because a person is from the Muslim religion doesn’t mean that is a terrorist. On the other hand this expression can mean that we should not put all our effort in just one thing. The risk of something went wrong is too high and we can loose everything (for example put all our money in just one investment and that investment fails!).
Hi, I'm José Tomás (5ºA). This expression means that we must keep safe what we like or want. For this we must keep our things safe in several places. Thus we do not run the risk of losing everything if something goes wrong. This expression also means that we can not judge people in the same way, because we are all different.
Hi!
ReplyDeleteI think this expression means that we have to share.

You shouldn't put all your hopes in one thing. If we can't do it we will be sad.
